Dr. Michelle Molina, PsyD, is a Filipino-American, born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Vassar College, where her research experiences centered on emotion regulation, mindfulness, and psychophysiology. Dr. Molina holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology in Education from Columbia University, Teacher's College and a second Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School, Anaheim Campus (APA-accredited), where she obtained her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Psychology.
Currently, Dr. Molina is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Conscious Culture Psychology Clinic's Advanced Clinical Health Psychology Fellowship Program. Prior to joining CCPC, she completed her APA-accredited doctoral internship at Sharp Healthcare in San Diego, where she worked with patients of all ages providing psychological evaluations, comprehensive suicide risk assessments, and individual and group therapy in both inpatient and outpatient levels of care. Dr. Molina has received in-depth training in working with high-risk youth with mood disorders at CHOC Children's Hospital of Orange County and Hoag ASPIRE Program, adults with chemical dependency at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, and individuals experiencing early psychosis at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Behavior.
Her current clinical and research interests revolve around understanding stress and coping processes across the lifespan from developmental and cultural perspectives. Dr. Molina's approach to assessment, conceptualization, and treatment is grounded in both cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), with an emphasis on the biopsychosocial model. Utilizing this evidence-based and integrative therapeutic approach allows her the versatility and flexibility to meet the unique needs of clients with diverse diagnostic concerns and provide culturally sensitive and individualized care.
