Evan Satlin, MA is a third-generation Jewish-American clinician. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas, where he majored in Psychology, with a minor in Communications. Evan also holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Clinical Psychology, from California Northstate University, where he will obtain his Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology in December 2026.
Currently, Evan is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Conscious Culture Psychology Clinic Advanced Clinical Health Psychology Fellowship Program. Before joining the Conscious Culture Health Psychology Fellowship, he completed his APA-accredited doctoral internship at Torrance State Hospital, where he provided forensic care, comprehensive evaluations as well as inpatient individual and group therapy for adults struggling with complex mental illness. Evan has also received in-depth training providing trauma-informed individual and group therapy in outpatient levels of care at The Center for Integrative Healing. This included forensic individual and group therapy, evaluation, and therapy for individuals who have experienced physical and medical trauma.
Evan’s current clinical interests include health-centered, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care for those who struggle with individual distress and societal stigma. His approach to assessment, conceptualization, and treatment is guided by both a person-centered lens, focused on safety in the therapeutic alliance facilitating clinical growth and a CBT lens, focused on how thought, emotion and behavior affect well-being. Integrating these evidence-based approaches allows for flexibility in care with the goal of meeting the unique needs of clients. Evan looks to meet clients where they are, working through points of distress and building upon personal strengths.
