Dr. Arelly Gonzalez, PsyD, is a Mexican-American, born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Mount Saint Mary’s University in 2019. Dr. Gonzalez received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology in 2022 from The Chicago School, Los Angeles Campus (APA-accredited), where she obtained her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Neuropsychology in 2025.
Currently, Dr. Gonzalez is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Conscious Culture Psychology Clinic's Advanced Clinical Health Psychology Fellowship Program. Prior to joining CCPC, she completed her APA-accredited doctoral internship at the National Psychology Training Consortium- Central Region at Compass Health Network in Columbia, Missouri where she worked as an IHC (integrated health care) intern working in community health care, while she was the Chief Intern for the Central Region. She worked with patients of all ages, ethnicities, socioeconomic status providing consultations, psychological evaluations, brief individual therapy, and group therapy to adolescents with substance use. In addition, Dr. Gonzalez received training and is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
Dr. Gonzalez has received in-depth training in working with adolescents and adults with eating disorders at BHC Alhambra in Rosemead. Providing group and individual therapy with adults with severe mental health illnesses at Riverside Behavioral Health Center in Riverside, Aurora Charter Oak in Covina and at Landmark Medical Center in Pomona. As well as providing therapy to adolescents and providing ADHD assessments at Sunny Hills Behavioral Health in Fullerton. Dr. Gonzalez also has training in providing ABA therapy to individuals on the Autism spectrum through Spectrum Solutions in Paramount and Roman Empire in Alhambra.
Her current clinical and research interests revolve around military personnel, in addition to working with the Hispanic population and bring insight to individuals about mental health. Dr. Gonzalez’s approach to assessment, conceptualization, and treatment is grounded through a variety of approaches such as the bio-psycho-social model, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and humanistic therapy. Utilizing evidence-based research and integrative therapeutic approaches allows her to be flexible and meet the clients where they are and their needs and goals, while providing culturally sensitive and individualized care.
